Hello all,

A couple of months ago, I started to experience thermal throttling in my 2015 13'' entry level MBP. The temperature quickly goes up especially when a few Youtube tabs are open. I switched from Firefox to Safari, which helped but to a some extent. Back when I installed Catalina, I monitored the temperature, and many occasions, the temperature would quickly jump to 80-90C, again, especially when video tabs are open or I am using Zoom. I reapplied a high-quality thermal paste, and I went back to Mojave, both of which visibly helped but the issue persists. I do not know how a machine that could have a hundred tabs open without a hint of heating could turn into one that struggles with a video playing. Do you think it could be a hardware issue, because I did not experience issues related to temperature back when I first installed Mojave.

Thanks for your help!
