Early 2008 iMac Motherboard Question

So, I've been curious about the motherboard on the new iMacs. I know in the manual it says you can only have 4 gigs of memory in there, but is it like the MBP's motherboard where it can handle more, but the EFI will not allow it to handle more? If so, what are the chances that Snow Leopard will allow people to install 8 gigs in there?
