As I'm sure everyone is sick of hearing about by now, two weeks ago my early 2008 mbp went into a coma from sleep mode and would not reboot. Fans would start, sleep light would come on, but no chime or screen activity. After trying all SMC Pram and whatever else resets, still no luck. Everyone, their mother, and the Apple store diagnosed it as logic board failure must likely due to Nvidia issue.
So I did the crazy thing That seemed to work for lots of people and baked the logic board to reflow the GPU. Now I get an almost-start up, but instead of booting I get the 3 loud beeps indicating none of the RAM banks are reading.
I've reseated the RAM several times in different positions (switched, one at a time, none) and have got either 1 or 3 beeps.
Did I mess up the RAM or the banks when moving? Or did the reflow not work? Half work?
Any thoughts or advice appreciated!
