I'm seeing all these articles and posts on the Mac Pro's being able to support AC wifi. Is there a part available for the macbook pro for this upgrade? We have AT&T Gigapower at the house so it would be great to have the substantial internet speeds on my laptop. It usually speed tests around 20Mbps-50Mbps. Anything wired in does WAYYY above that. My roommate has a newer macbook pro but it still isn't able to grab the potential of our wifi but his does do better than mine on speed tests.

My Macbook Pro:
A1260
2.6Ghz Intel Core Duo
6GB RAM
Currently running the up to date version of Yosemite.

If it isn't possible, cool. I'll live with it and upgrade my laptop when I get around to it. If it is, any info would greatly be appreciated.

Before doing all my research I went to osxwifi.com and saw their BCM943XXCD. Bought it and went to install but noticed right away that my top case would not be able to close because the card being on the PCIe adapter causes this thing to be way taller than the stock card. It never really clicked that I was reading Mac Pro and not Macbook Pro. Not my finest hour. Obviously.
