Ok recently, like as in today. ive been experience some problems with the early 2008 track pad. i bought mbp in june 2008. Today ive when im using the trackpad, it would freeze for a few seconds every now and then. It's getting really annoying. Is this a known problem or...??ok.. it just froze when i tried to submit this post..

I have exactly the same problem on my early 2008 mbp. I had a similar problem on my mid 2007 mbp, however that was quite a lot worse. The reason for that problem was the internal usb port, which sometimes disconnected the trackpad resulting in it not working. So if your trackpad is frozen but the computer isn't then I guess its the same problem. try using an external mouse. if there aren't any freezes, then you know the fault.
When I brought my old laptop in to Apple they claimed it was ok, but I convinced them to keep it for a few days and run diagnostics, so don't let them talk you into believing your computer is fine, when you know it isn't.
