I just replaced the RAID card in my early 2008 Mac Pro. The card is the Apple RAID card variety from that time. The drives are all fine, but the system wouldn't boot. So I booted from the Snow Leopard CD. While booted from the install disc, in the RAID Utility, I am able to see all 4 drives in the 4 internal bays, but the RAID 5 array that they were prior is not being recognized by the new card, which is also an Apple RAID card (same type I'm replacing). How can I get it to recognize the set? I tried creating a new one, but it warned me that an existing one was already on there and all my data would be erased, so naturally, I cancelled out.
