Early 2009 Mac Pro Speaker set up question

I have a set of Logitech Z5500s that have optical input and decode Dolby and prologic and DTS etc etc.

does the MP even have a sound card or any audio processing?? I am curious if World of warcraft will only play through 2 speakers in OS X. also itunes etc etc... seems like such a waste if this is the case.

Optical audio does not need to be processed, and the Mac Pro has optical output and input.

You'll get surround in WoW.

iTunes will only play through two unless you have surround sound music files.
