Just jumped on a refurb 2.66 quad from megamacs for $550 and also picked up a W3680 on ebay for $350. Now I am looking for some advice regarding storage and graphics. I'm looking for stability over raw performance. Looks like most people are going for 680's for graphics. Is this a sweet spot for performance/money? I'm going to be doing a variety of work that won't only be CUDA based. Also is there a specific type of ram I should be looking for? Thanks.
