Hi Folks,

I've recently purchased a Macbook Pro 2.66Ghz, 4GB RAM and other than the fact I can't help thinking it's a bit on the slow side compared to the 2007 SR MacBook it replaced, occasionally I am getting a problem with it freezing up, particularly after having shut the lid only to open it and find it stuck on the last safari page with the only way out being a hard reset. I don't think I ever saw this happen on my white MacBook. I have repaired permissions, reset the p-ram but not sure what else I can do? I did a fresh Snow Leopard instal a couple of weeks ago as I always do when getting a new Mac, but I did it mainly because I thought it was acting sluggish occasionally right out the box (Safari seems slow in particular, beach balls etc). Any suggestions gladly accepted!

I am having the same problem with my i5 13 inch 2011. When I lift the lid up it freezes for about 10 seconds. It does not happen all the time but it does happen and it annoys me especially since I just bought it.
