I got this macbook pro in early 2010 brand new from the apple store; basically last seasons range. A few weeks ago I dropped it about 2 foot from the ground to a carpeted floor. It landed screen to floor ( with the keyboard facing in the air ) and I found now that it sort of cracks when opened and closed, it creaks when I press down on the black hinge, and if I close the lid, it takes about 3 minutes to sleep as a pose to before I dropped it where it slept straight after being closed.

The strange thing is, if I lift the lid about half an inch off being closed it sleeps as it used to before dropped, but if I then slowly close it fully, the apple logo lights up again and it wakes up. I heard something about the reef switch being knocked out of place or something? And I dont think apple will fix it because I dropped it.

Any Suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
