Early 2011 13" MBP vs Late 2011 13" MBP

Best Buy has some i7 2.7 ghz models on clearance, new in box for 1199$... seems like a no brainer since the late 2011 i7 2.8 13" MBP is 1424$ at Best Buy...

But just in case I missed something, why would I not get the brand new Early 2011 13" MBP?

I called Apple care and since it has not been registered yet, it is eligible for Apple Care. The best buy person couldn't answer that (go figure)...

The only upgrade is an insignificant speed boost and a larger hard drive. Go for the early 2011 unless you care about the minor improvements.

Is this an in-store special or online? I'm in the market for the base model 13" MBP...

Not much.

The 2.7 GHz will be a bit faster on benchmarks, but you'll never notice the difference in day to day use.

That said, for $1199, I'd certainly go for the 2.7 GHz i7.

I had a similar debate between the Early 2011 13" i5 (MC700) and Late 2011 13" i5 (MD 313). I had a specific budget and the (MD 313) was much more expensive for not a whole lot of gain. I went with the MC700 because it was discounted at $899 vs. $1099 for the MD313. The differences are minor and I the extra money wasn't worth it for a barely noticeable difference.

i have the early 2011 13" 2.7 i7 and i was thinking of trading it in for the 2.8 i7 late 2011 SO REAL TALK WOULD BE GOOD FOR ME TO TRADE IT IN FOR an EXTRA 100 MHZ OR TOO KEEP MY LAPTOP AND UPGRADE TOO 16gig FROM 8gig cause i do alot of video editing via iMovie 720p videos via avchd files from my panasonic tm-90
IS THE LATE 2011 2.8 basically the same machine just bigger Hard Drive?

I'm waiting for our local year-old Best Buy to obtain Apple approval to carry Macs. The store has jumped through myriad hoops in order to qualify. Currently there is only one store within 150 miles that carries Macs.
