Early 2011 Macbook Pro 15" always updating when power on

Hello, a few days ago Apple released a SMC update for the 2010 and 2011 macbook Pros, my friend did the update, but now, every time he turn on the computer, he will see the updating bar for like 10 minutes, then the computer will boot and everything is working fine, shut down, is fast too. But next time he turns it on, same thing, still update....

Anyone knows what can he do to solve this situation?
