Early 2011 MBP - Bootcamp - Windows 7 - Soul Crushing Attempts

I have put around 18 hours in to trying to install Windows 7 using bootcamp, and I can't get my MBP to boot the Windows installer. I have tried booting from DVD and USB and all I seem to get is a black screen with a flashing _.

I don't know what I am doing wrong? If anyone can help me through this I it will be much appreciated! :)
