Early 2011 vs Late 2011 MBP

I had an early 2011 15" 2.0 Ghz MBP. It was replaced by Apple with a late 2011 15" 2.2 Ghz MBP. I simply moved my Samsung 470 256 GB SSD from the old machine to the new machine. So far, I have not experienced any issues. Given the slight differences in the two machines is what I did ok or should I have cloned the new drive to the SSD and proceeded from there. I still have a clone of the original drive, as shipped, that I saved just in case. What do you guys think?
