Early 2016 m5 or Current Model m3?

If amount of RAM and storage are equal, which one would be the better choice ?

2017 M3 hands down.

Not only is it faster than the 2016 M5, you get the 2nd gen butterfly keyboard.

And you get 10-bit HDR 4K HEVC hardware decode support in the 2017. This is missing from even the 2016 MacBook Pro, much less the 2016 MacBook. Oh and you can't get 16 GB in the 2016.

Note that rumours have it that the MacBook MIGHT get updated this fall.
