First, I want to start out by saying that I am about to get my first iPhone and can't wait.
OK, I am not eligible to upgrade until August, but my sister wants to join my family plan with AT&T. So I was thinking about using her new line to get the 3Gs at the cheap price. I know I can do this, but my question is this:
How did the early upgrade work this time around? I am aware that if you purchased the 3G in the first 3 months after it came out and had a bill of $99+ then they allowed you to upgrade extra early. What I'm not sure about is, if I bought the phone using her line but activated it on mine, would I have qualified for the early upgrade, granted that I met the other criteria?
I realize this is all speculation since nobody knows what they will do next year, but I was just wondering if anyone was in this situation this year and how it was handled. Thanks for any input, and I apologize if this was already covered. If so, a link to the post would be great.
