Early upgrade from 3G to 3GS - Family Plan

Ok guys,

I checked my "main-line" for my AT&T account and I can get a semi-discounted rate ($399 for 16GB GS) on 7/14/09...

I am happy with that.


But for my 2 other iPhones in my family plan I can not get early upgrade for another 9 months.... All phones where bought on the same day last year...

What gives?

So... if you can sell your 16GB 3G for $500 on eBay, you will end up pocketing $100 after spending $399 for upgrade? That sounds like a sweet deal.

Non-primary lines ALWAYS have to wait the full 18-24 months for upgrade.

Is that really the case? 18-24 is sorta a large ambiguous time frame.

My secondary lines have to wait 21 months for upgrade?

I'm not really feeling that, I think I will have to have a word with my account manager.
