My upgrade date is currently the end of Nov. What if I pay the $449 ($250 early upgrade fee +$199) now - vs waiting to become eligible for a full subsidy in late Nov. (and only pay $199 then).

Will I somehow get credit for this next year- with an earlier upgrade date than if I wait?

No not really, the only difference would be you get your iPhone 4S a month earlier. I am gonna early upgrade, it's $449.

No. The 250 fee is basically what ATT wants from you in order to finish paying off your current device. You won't receive a monetary credit or anything like that, but you potentially be eligible for the next device, one month sooner.

Thanks all. That's a pretty steep charge for one month (Nov. 19th is my exact date). I'll prob just sit on my hands then. (or hope they move my date up by a few weeks).
