Why is it that my recently upgraded iphone 4 line is showing up as eligible for an 'early upgrade' at 399/499. Is that price always available as long as a I sign a new 2 year contract? Doesn't this mean that I can keep getting an iphone for 399??

You should only be able to upgrade only once but who knows it could be a fluke in AT&T's system.

If you upgraded recently maybe the system didn't have time to catch up.

The only thing I would question is whether AT&T views a move from iphone 4 to iphone 4 an upgrade. To me it means that if Apple comes up with a newer model than the iphone 4, then you're eligible to upgrade for that price.

just to clarify what I am saying...When i bought my iphone 4 on launch i paid 199 which is the full upgrade price.

However now I am given the option of getting an iphone 4 at an early upgrade price of 399 (instead of 599). My question is am I able to keep using that promotion over and over again?

yes i am thinking huge opportunity for arbitrage, not even kidding
