Anyone have any luck with AT&T and getting the early upgrade charge waived (to get the regular upgrade)?

I tried earlier but they said there was nothing they could do and I had to pay the early upgrade price.

You could keep calling and hope that you get a customer service rep who helps you, otherwise you are SOL.

Call, and threaten to cancel.

I know a guy who called and told them he got disconnected with someone who was about to do it for him and convinced them he wasn't lying, and got them to honor the previous reps promise.
Thats fraud, and I wouldn't recommend it.
