earphone only mode in MUSIC and Buzzplayer app- iphone speakers not working

about 2 hours ago i was in the gym and all of a sudden my headphone stopped working... i heard no sound.
i gave a little wipe with a towel to the iphone and to my earphone jack and blew into the "dock" (?), part where u insert the headphone into the iphone.
Then i started to hear the music again. it kind of started and stopped. very strange. wondered if my sweat got into it.

i unplugged it and no sound came out at all. i stopped my workout and did a mini google search and i think the problem is that it is in earphone only mode.

i went to sounds, to change my ringtone and that madethe iphone 4s speakers start working. my HT recorder works on speaker mode. my MUSIC and BUZZ PLAYER app only works on earphones. when i put in my headphones the volume bar wor
ks. when i take out the headphones, the volume bar disappears in the music app. forthe buzz player ,it says No Volume Availble.

please help me get my iphone speakers to work normally again! thank you!
