Carrier Easiest and cheapest carrier to signup for and cancel to renew iUP?

I’m on Google Fi, so for iUP I’m not going to be able to use my normal number. Has anyone had good luck this year opening a line (ideally without an unnecessary credit pull) just for iUP and then cancelling it afterward when the phone is activated and unlocked at minimal cost?
