Hi - I've started using Eclipse for some (Java) programming at the moment and would like to use this with a version control system. Currently this is just for my own use on my personal Macbook Pro, so want something simple to install and use, though its possible later I might wish to share my code with another developer.

The main options seem to be: Subversion, GIT, Mercurial

GIT sounds a little complicated, Mercurial too, so I'm leaning towards Subversion which sound simpler and seems to be well supported, but I've not used any of these systems myself, so would welcome advice from others.

I would like something that integrates well with Eclipse, if possible.

I did see a comparative review of a number of different systems here, but this is from 2008, so possibly a little out of date - e.g. is GIT easier to use now?

[Edit] After seeing there seems to be a good Eclipse plugin for Mercurial and reading a little bit more about it, this actually sounds better than SVN or GIT for my use. Has anyone experience of using Mercurial? Thanks
