Getting new mac within next two weeks and was wondering what software program you guys would recommend for enhancing photos for use in albums etc. - (maybe even putting together a photo book for a special 40th anniversary trip) that is the most automatic within the processes of the software itself. I know that photoshop is really good, but you need to really know what you are doing to make it work very well. I am not really interested in "going back to school to learn a complex program" but I am looking for something I can use that will be helpful mostly by itself. Does anything work that way?

Apple App store has Aperture 3. Would that fall into that category or is it as complex as photoshop?

Your Mac will come with iPhoto pre-installed, and iPhoto is exactly what you want; one-click enhance, and with lots of options for producing professional looking books.
