Easiest Way For Getting Nes Roms To Your Ipod (Step By Step)

These are very simple steps and if i have written anything wrong point it out to me and i will edit it.

1. Go to installer and download and install Finder.app this allows you to search your files

2. Open finder and press the two dots at the top of the page to go up files and folders until you cant go further

3. Go to var, Root, Media

4. Press Create at the bottom of finder

5. Then press folder and name the folder ROMs spelt like i have typed it.

6. In the ROMs folder make another folder named NES the same way as before.

7. Download and install ishare.app from installer

8.If you have a direct link to the rom and no need to extract anything then use ishare.app and type in your download link

9. If you dont have a link then you need a computer for a little bit of this.

10. Go to www.sendspace.com on your pc or mac and create an account this is very easy to do.

11. Download your roms from various sites, Torrents and many more sites.

12. Press upload and find your rom where you have saved it and upload to your sharespace account.

13. Go back to your ipod and open ishare.app and click login then download when the screen loads press download from my account.

14. Choose the NES rom you wish to download and then press it.

15. Go to the NES folder you have just created and save the rom there.

16. when you have finished downloading the rom go to your Nes.app and your games will appear there.

17. Enjoy this may look like a lot but believe me it took me no longer than 5 mins to get 15 Nes roms on.

granted the iShare thing is pretty neat. Didn't realize anyone had ported something like that to the Touch. Can other people "e-mail" you files with it?

I'm just saying that you'll do people more good in the long run by giving instructions to download a free FTP client and set it up.

Also, if you happen to want to copy 100 roms to your touch...

Yes they can they upload the files to the site and just give you the download link and instead of pressing download from my account type the download link from there.
 
.. this is even more confusing then just sftp'ing to the touch.

It's so easy to ftp to the touch

using a sftp program, go to /var/root/Media/ on your touch make a file and name it ROMs, make another file in the current folder (ROMs), name it NES. Put your roms in their and you are good to go.

or..

you can go to installer and add the source:

"markmon.mine.nu:90/iphone/repo/repo.plist"

then install Bigboss' NES Roms Pack 1 which has about 50 roms
 
xjay.... U are the coolest mofo in this joint !!! That worked perfect. Now I can sit on the toilet all day at work and be amused ! :eek:

To help people that couldnt get Ftp working if you dont like the method then dont use it but its just easy if you dont know a lot about computers...

ive had loads of people emailing me asking for help with this because they dont know how to use Ftp clients
