Easiest Way of Pre-Ordering a Verizon iPhone 6+ if not Verizon Customer???

Guys,

I'm being drawn back into the iPhone world from the land of Android to try the iPhone 6+. I want to purchase the Verizon version even though I am an AT&T customer currently, as it will give me more flexibility if I decided to go back to Verizon for any reason, or resale if it isn't for me. At this point I am on AT&T Premier, so I can't even order the phone online for no-commitment, the damn AT&T premier website only allows upgrading if you are elligible, if I wanted the AT&T version. Should I just sign up for a new line of service via the Apple site and just cancel before I even activate and pay the ETF? I want to pre-order so I don't have to go stand in line next Friday...
