So I have a 1080p video that i want to downconvert to 720p - for playback reasons, and i have both quicktime pro and visualhub. I'm just wondering whats the easiest way to do this- i assume visualhub . I was going to just put it in there and do apple TV settings, but I don't necessarily want to reduce the bitrate down that much as the apple tv bit rate is fairly low. I am just more concerned about lowering the resolution to 720p.

The video is an mp4 .264 vid. Thanks for any help.

Also if you're feeling up to it- here's another question:

Is there a way to keep 5.1 audio in a mp4 ? I had an mkv and i was just wondering if there was a way to easily take the audio from that (which is usually DTS) and convert it to aac 5.1 using quicktime or another mac program. I don't use an apple tv, I basically run my computer into a receiver using optical out. I just like to put things into iTunes for aesthetic reasons
