iPad mini Easiest way to fix my iPad mini 2

My iPad was acting normal, until I came home from work one day. It was dead and once I charged it, the screen ended up looking like this. Anyone know what's the cheapest/easiest to get this fixed?

Backup and completely restore as new. Probably won't help, but it is worth making sure.

Something similar happened to me once on the mini 2. Power completely down, remove it from the case and take off the screen protector, let it charge for about a day (or at least overnight), then power-on - you should be good to go.
