easiest way to jailbreak iphone 4 on 4.0.2

i am trying to jailbreak my friend iphone 4 on 4.0.2.

if i try jailbreakme.com it says iOS too old needs to update to 4.0.1 (which is strange as this iphone is already on 4.0.2)

if i try using greenpoisi0n it keeps failing to jailbreak..

i do not want to use pwnagetool as for that i will have to back his phone and rewrite iOS , is there any one way i can try jaibreaking (obviously without updating the baseband) ?

There isn't a jailbreak for 4.0.2. You'll need to update to a software that does have a jailbreak.

A jailbreak software doesn't upgrade the baseband. Updating your iPhone in iTunes will upgrade the baseband.
