East Coast - do they split the line at 5am for pre-order?

In line on west coast wondering at what time line will split. Have pre-order and couldn't sleep any longer so hopped in line.

Yea there's eventually two lines. You will be escorted over to this sign passing everyone else.

What's the point waiting all night if you have a reservation? I don't understand that.

it seems that with the reservation system you still have to wait but I guess you are at least guaranteed a phone
