would like to put together a playlist for new years eve and am looking for a few more features than just crossfade within itunes. Especially with regards to cutting out a bit off the front.back of a song in case there is a long intro etc.

anyone have a good recommendation?

cheers!

I was completely unaware you were able to do that with GB.

I had always assume it was just a recording platform.
any good tutorials you may be able to show me?

no, i know very little about the software ... but you can edit audio in it.

I just tried something like that. A mash-up of several songs from iTunes. I just cut a bunch 20 and 30 second snipents together. It's drag and drop easy but man, it takes hours to make a 30 minute program. You have so much control that you try to get everything perfect, you listen and move something, re-listen and so on.

If you don't like GB then Final Cut Express will work the same way. You just don't create any video tracks and FCE does audio only. But same problem it takes "forever".

Main List of mixing software

hey, i am new with mac software, even though there are many software available on internet.

you can start searching for those programs.

-Djay (Mixing Program) - Free by torrent
-Future Desktop (mixing program) - free by torrent
-Mixxx (Mixing program of Linux) - Search for it on google.
-IrecordMusic (record from youtube or any page) - Torrent
-Deckadance ( Professional dj program ) NOT AVAILABLE ON INTERNET FOR FREE

Cheers!

Please remember that its illegal to download copyrighted software from the internet without playing for it.

I think most of the items you list are freeware or shareware, but MR will jump up and down on any instance of the promotion of piracy.
