Easy peazy japaneesy Toast 8 question!

Hello everyone. This is my first post, so please forgive and notify me of any mistakes I may have made... I will try to make my question as simple as possible:

So I have Toast Titanium 8. I have a .avi file that is 1:45 in length. I have a 4.7GB DVD-R.

Now my question is, how do I burn this .avi file to my DVD-R? Do I have to convert it to a VIDEO_TS folder? Do I have to compress it somehow?

By the way, I did search for other threads with this question, but couldn't really find any.

No, just set your **** to Video>dvd and drag your avi file to toast.
easy as can be.

Next hit the red burn button in the bottom right corner and your done
