I need to reformat my hd on my pb bought in feb. I do not have tiger. I need to reformat because of network conectivity problems. I plan on burning all my information on cd's then erasing it all and reinstalling panther since it came with my pb. What is the best way to do this?

Once everything is backed-up, use Disk Utility on the Panther install disk to reformat the drive.
Once the Panther CD is up and running you can access Disk Utilty from the top menubar.

Thanks. What is the best way to back up everything mainly word documents? and mp3's? Also, what happens when you update to tiger? Anything significant?
