Easy to use banner printing software

Hello

My wife is looking for some Mac software that will easily print out banners for classroom displays. She says "You can do it really easily in Microsoft Publisher!"

Basically, she wants to...

• Type in a few words
• Maybe choose a font, background and border
• Specify the width of the banner, in sheets of A4 paper
• Have the Mac print the banner automatically over the specified number of A4 sheets
• Stick the bits together with sticky tape and staple it to the wall

I know there are apps like Art Text 2 that will generate the fancy text, but won't distribute the print over multiple sheets of paper. And, I know there are apps like PosteRazor that take an existing image and split it over multiple sheets of paper. Cool.

But, she wants to do this quickly and easily from a single app. "Like in Publisher" (which I haven't used for about 8 years). What can I say... teachers are busy.

One option come readily to mind--The Print Shop for Mac 2. However, my guess is that any application with customizable page sizes will do the trick.

But, am I being blind or stupid? Or is there no option to purchase a copy or obtain a trial via download? Or have I fallen into a time warp and it's 2002 all over again?

I won't dignify that question with an answer.

I use an app called Tiler. It works very effectively. Simply export or print as PDF from whatever application you like (Textedit will do what you want) then use Tiler to print across as many pages as you like.
