Easy way to gather the names of all files or folders that are in one place?

For example:
I have a music folder
in the music folder are about 200 or so Artist folders:

looks like this

Music -> The beatles, Pink Floyd, The Killers ..etc

Is there a way (without manually typing or copy/paste each one)

to get all the names of each folder in text ?

I'm on a Mac... I just opened my iTunes music folder,
highlighted ALL the folders,
hit Apple C (copy),
opened up MS Word to a NEW document,
and hit Apple V (paste),
and I got a list of the artists.... Interestingly enough, they were in REVERSE alphabetical order...

Give it a shot !

PS. I am running OS 10.4.11 on an older Mac here at work, not sure if this method will hold true if you're on 10.5.x

I just went to my Music Folder and hit the -A to select all and then -C to copy them. I check the clipboard and it's all there listed alphabetically. Strange thing is when I go to paste it, TextEdit crashes and Word just brings up all the Artists in blocks and unrecognizable characters . I'm running Leopard 10.5.5. But I have way more than 200 in there so that might be my problem . LOL.

Oh I just pasted it into Stickies and worked fine . After being pasted into Stickies first, I then copied it all again to the clipboard and pasted back into TextEdit and Word with no problems. Go figure LOL.
