I'm importing some images into Pages that have a higher resolution than necessary. In one case I think Pages ran slower because of many such images. I would expect there would be an easy way to just tell Pages to normalize an image to, say, 600 dpi after I have arranged the image on the page, but it appears this could be really difficult.

Exporting an image from iPhoto at reduced resolution where I have to guess what I think the pixels should be along a certain dimension is too awkward for what I expect to be a Mac's ease of use.

Any suggestions?
