"Easy Ways to Win Lottery - New Thread"

Just received an email from MacRumors Forums with the above title. "Member" posts that if I send x amount to some priest at his temple in Africa, he will cast a spell so that I can win big bucks! And this email looks exactly like all MacRumors Forums email notifications for threads except that this is for a new thread, not a watched one. Anyone else getting these notifications? Mods, do you want any specifics to track this down

Are you watching the Mac Basics forum with email notification for new threads?

It was a scammer who posted once in an existing news thread and once as a new thread in Mac Basics a couple hours ago. They've already been dealt with.

For future reference, the proper way to notify us of a problematic thread is to use the Report button.

It looks like this in my Mac's browser:

If you were notified by email, you can mention that in the text you type into the "Report reason" box.

Thank you! Hadn't noticed the report button before. Wild Cowboy mentioned a Mac Basics forum. Haven't found that yet.
