eBay Apple power adapters?

I need an adapter to charge my MacBook in the UK and don't want to pay 40 bucks for the official Apple travel kit, especially since I just need the UK plug and nothing else. Has anyone had any luck with these eBay plugs from Hong Kong? Thanks.

Plugs are plugs. As long as they have the C8 connector (the "figure 8" shape) they'll work fine. I've gotten several of those little plugs off eBay and don't even notice they're eBay units.

You could get lucky and have no problems. Or you could get unlucky and receive a defective unit. They are undoubtedly lower quality, so it depends if you want to roll the dice. The only upside is their low price, so at least it doesn't set you back much.
