Ebay Battery - Has anyone bought from sellers in Hong Kong no problems.

I am in need of a new battery and

and I am wondering if I should go with the Ebay option. I don't want to spend 200 dollars on an aging laptop, 30 bucks is more reasonable, but is it safe?

Has anyone has any experience to share? The sellers reviews have been mainly positive.

Non-OEM batteries cannot be considered safe.

An 85% discount on a battery, count me in (you think Apple is making a profit). The ebay sellers selling these batteries at $32 are making a profit. I just order 6 macbook replacement batteries from a third party ebay seller and they should arrive soon. I've used third party batteries before and they worked fine.

Based on the number of problems people have reported with 3rd party batteries, I wouldn't trust or recommend any battery not made by Apple.

I could still save money by going OWC which does have a better reputation then Ebay batteries.

but not really much anyway.
