I just sold a digital camera on ebay. The auction just ended yesterday, so I am patiently awaiting payment. I was looking at the sold items on My Ebay, and noticed that under the buyer's name it says "No longer a registered user." It still allows me to click on his name and send him a message as if he were a registered user. What is up with this? Should I wait around a while for this person, or go ahead and try to sell to someone else? Anyone here had this happen before?

I think this happens when the user is reported and banned by ebay for scamming and other things.

Move on I'd say...

Might have been kicked out for scamming or other nefarious things (according to eBay)? Assuming you're not accepting payment in some form that is scammable, I'd still sell it to him, unless you want/need the feedback. In which case, I'd tell him that you need the purchaser to a registered eBay user. Hell it's your camera to do with as you want until you get the money from the purchaser.

TImDaddy,

Same thing happened to me, but after buying a product and PAYING for it (the seller unregistered)...what a dumbass I was, I know, anyways, never gonna trust someone with zero feedback again . :p

If you're selling then it isn't really a problem as you don't send till you've been paid. Send an email then if you don't get a response and quick payment you can relist. Sellers can be deregisterd for being a bit late paying their eBay fees.
