I want to take advantage of the live.com rebate but have some questions:

1. How does the warranty work on a new purchase from ebay? I can not show apple a receipt from ebay.

2. How come prices are reduced on ebay when most sellers are not apple resellers?

3. I have had a bad experience before with ebay so I am skeptical about purchasing a big item again...Besides feedback how can I tell a mac is 100% new and never used?

However, for big ticket items you should do store.apple.com or an apple reseller.
