eBuddy can't detect AIM contact online problem

Anyone else having this? I have a problem seeing if AIM contacts are online with eBuddy, both the app and the web page have the same problem. Pidgin sees AIM contacts online no problem. The weird thing is when they start messaging me I can talk to them, but it still shows them offline.
 
Meh, switched to IM+ Pro. Worlds better but way more complex and unfortunately I caught it in the day it went back up to $10.

Never got an answer from ebuddy support email.
