My name is Aleksandra and I am a community manager at eBuddy XMS.

I would like to introduce you and tell you more about new application that we have recently launched: eBuddy XMS.

Moreover, I would be happy to hear your feedback and thoughts about the application. If you have any questions, suggestions or issues that came up during use of the application, leave a comment in this thread, I will be here to answer.

So, what’s eBuddy XMS all about?
- Free real-time messaging for smartphones: you can send text, emoticons and pictures to your friends with eBuddy XMS.
- Push notifications: eBuddy XMS is always on, so you don’t miss any of your messages, just like with SMS.

- Currently available on iPhone, Android and iPod Touch. Blackberry version is in beta.

am i right in saying your eBuddy XMS is the official client of eBuddy? I was under the impression that Ebuddy already had an app out so thought this was a 'stealer'/copycat etc. The ebuddy website links to the eBuddy XMS app therefore i guess, as i asked it is actually the official application.

The application itself looks very polished and will definitely be giving it a try!

indeed, eBuddy has launched eBuddy XMS application next to Instant messaging service eBuddy.

eBuddy XMS: group messaging and web XMS added!

Hi iPhone/Android users!

We have been working hard for last three months and now have some great news for you.

- Group messaging for Android and iPhone: send group messaging to up to 40 friends at once!

- Video sending for Android and iPhone: share videos in a matter of seconds.

This app its awesome, a little late to the party but I can say, its way better than whatsapp... I think its time to start migrating people. Love the PIN option, just like Blackberry no need to share your personal phone number.

So far I have a group of 10 people testing the app and before we do the final switch, I would like to report a few complaints bug we experiencing.

Notification: Sometimes we don't hear the "ding" sound when a new message arrived. Example 1: I'm typing an email and I see the notification banner on top with the text but no "ding" then I open the app and the "ding" goes off.
Example 2: screen is off I turn on the phone and the "ding" goes off.

Some of us had problems sending messages out receiving was fine but going out nothing happened for like 2hours. We end up going back to whatsapp to finish the chat. it happen randomly and not to all of us.

We found that whatsapp is a little bit more polished when it come to colors. Whatapps is very easy on your eyes and I find it more comfortable to use.

Profile picture: it's possible for you guys add a way to put a picture without using Facebook?

also a way to add custom sounds would be nice! the default ones are soso... hehe

I almost forgot... Nearby feature range has to be increase. I live in NY and 10 km is a very small area.

Can you please specify whether your friends are on iPhone or Android? Were all of you using the same beta apps or you are using live version from the apps store?

I want to clarify some things to assess your issues: while you could not send messages, did you get any error message? Were you on Wi-Fi or 3G connection?

I want to let you know that the manual profile picture is on our roadmap and will be available soon. Thanks for suggestion about 10 km radius, it might be useful indeed!

We have Androids and Iphones (we use the app from the store). My friend was using Android on 3G when it happened, while whatsapp was working fine. It has happened twice since we started testing this app.

On my iphone, I'm still having problems with sound and visual notifications.

Another problem I found is with pictures I received. For example I received one picture, I saw it was saved to my camera roll but by mistake I deleted the pic. So I went back to the original message open the picture but it wont let me save it to my phone. Not sure if is a bug or that the way its supposed to work if I delete the picture from my camera roll.

Suggestions:
PIN; If I add a person by pin when I go to info it doesn't show the pin of the other person. anyway to show that under info?

Adding people by PIN: can you add a way for people to accept the person before they can start sending messages? Someone add me yesterday using the PIN option and I saw a message pop up but the person started sending messages right away without me authorizing it.

Status: would be nice to have a way to set status.. Available,Busy, Custom, and the most important offline ;)

lets make this app the BBM killer! ;)

I sent you my phone # I don't use any Facebook apps. Can you push the beta to the my phone?
