Be aware the following:
i bought watch (series 4) 2 years ago in USA together with iphone and set ECG. Moved outside of US, to the country when ECG is not available. For 2 years it was working fine and survived at least 4 -5 updates. But after today update to 7.2 and phone to 14.3
ECG is not longer available. I spent almost an hour with tech support and they told me i need to return to country where it available.

Nice update Apple.

@sashavegas Don't blame the update, you were on borrowed time the second you moved to a country that ECG wasn't available. It would be a hell of a lot easier for Apple to offer every feature everywhere, but this sort of thing is regulatory issue that requires mountains of paperwork to get approved.

Why would a country have a problem with watch ECG? Why would Apple even tell a country about it? To me it is just a watch feature, nobodies business but mine.

That's not how any of this works. It is not about it being a "watch feature" and it's not about your personal business. Here in the real world you've got a consumer electronics company incorporating features that qualify it as a "medical device" in many countries. Can you imagine the lawsuits and government fines for violating medical equipment regulations? They've got to work through these issues, they've already found ways of side-stepping some of them but it's not the same everywhere.
