I think "eco-friendly" is a buzz word that allows them to charge more, personally. It's not like web hosting is the leading cause of global warming. :p

c02

Human beings account for less than a tenth of a percent of the C02 in our atmosphere.

Even then, c02 accounts for 4% of the atmosphere.

C02 is not a pollutant.

More people ought to listen to americas mr right....

That doesn't make it seem that bad at all! Until, of course, you consider what wavelengths CO2 absorbs, then you remember we're in trouble.

You need to stop listening to Mr. Half-Right.

Don't forget, this has nothing to do with facts, it's the left's religion.

Look at Doteasy.com. They are located in Vancouver (Metro Vancouver that is - Burnaby specifically). They get their power from hydro-electric sources, so no fossil fuels are used to power their centre. If that is green enough for you, then I would recommend them. What they don't mention on their site is that Metro Vancouver is a very green city. They and the province are spending a lot of money to improve the transit system. One can assume, based on their address, that many if not most employees are commuting by public transit. This is a guess, but I do know the neighbourhood and there are good transit links there.

They have several hosting options, including a free hosting option. I have no formal ties with them, other than being a customer for close to 9 years. I've very rarely had a problem with the hosting. When I've had a question, they have worked with me to get it answered in a timely manner.

I started with the free hosting option, and then upgraded to a paid account for the past few years. They have occasionally changed the features they provided, always to my benefit. That is to say, they have increased storage and traffic limits, etc without ever charging more money.

As I said, I am happy customer - I have no ties with Doteasy.
