Apps Ecobee 3 thermostat

Hello All,

I wanted to share my experience. I finally decided to dump my NEST and switch to the ecobee 3. I love the watch app, the design, and the homekit integration. Also the extra sensors that come with the ecobee3 are a HUGE help. The app on the watch is easy to use, and works pretty quick!

so it's worth throwing away $250?

don't get me wrong... i'm REALLY PISSED that nest/google won't make an apple watch app.... but seriously.... throwing away $250 to spite them? you're not spiting nest/google at all.... they already got your money!

I'm sorry we're you asking me?? I don't recall saying I switched to the ecobee to spite nest. But to answer your question YES it was worth it. Better temp control, more accurate and not off by 3 to 5 degrees like nest always was. it wasn't just about the watch app, it was about the home kit integration, the use of my data since the purchase by Google, and the temp issue. Sold my NEST for 200.00 and got the ecobee at Home Depot for 229.00, so again, yes it was worth it.
