I have an Epson EcoTank ET-5850 color all-in-on printer.
I think think the printer is great other than i) if there is no paper in the multi-purpose tray Print Centre displays an error banner and the printer status is never shown and ii) the multipurpose tray takes up so much depth that the printer no longer in my home office cabinet.
I would appreciate suggestions to replace it where the minimal requirements are:
- 25+ sheet (50+ sheet even better) document feeder
- Color capability
- Duplex printing and scanning without having to manually flip the paper
- Laser or Smart Tank (i.e., Brother INKvestment Tank, Epson EcoTank, or other like systems; just no InkJet cartridges) that lasts! I love that the EcoTank only needs to be filled once per year!
- Multi-purpose tray can have no paper without generating and error message
- Physical footprint no bigger than the Epson ET-5850
- Two paper tray capability; one for letter sized paper and one for legal size paper
- Wireless connectivity
