I went skiing with my Apple watch ultra. Has the strap trail loop. I got sweaty under the strap and got eczema right on the outer edge of the strap that spread a little around the wrist.

Is there a strap that can withstand sweat better? It usually works with silicone wristbands, but they are not so good looking.

Have you tried cleaning the band each day?

I'd go silicon, but regular cleaning might solve the issue.

Thanks for your answer! No, I have not clean the band every day. Just clean with water a few times. How do you clean the band? With soap?

For Solo Loop, Braided Solo Loop, Sport Band, Sport Loop, Ocean Band, Alpine Loop, and Trail Loop:

  1. Wipe the band clean with a nonabrasive, lint-free cloth. If necessary, lightly dampen the cloth with fresh water. With these bands, you can also use mild hypoallergenic hand soap for cleaning.
  2. Dry the band with a nonabrasive, lint-free cloth before you attach it to your Apple Watch.

With my Alpine loop, I take it off the watch and give it a good scrubbing with an old toothbrush and some dish soap. It dries almost completely with a towel — plenty to put back on immediately. I’ll at least rinse the case and rub it with my fingers, possibly with a small drop of soap on my fingers if I think it needs it (which is almost never the case).

If I have even the slightest hint of redness or itchiness on my wrist, I’ll put a super-thin schmear of Neosporin around my whole wrist before putting it back on.

Never had anything worse than the slightest hint of redness or itchiness.

Do you have eczema otherwise or it's the first time?
