Hi,

I've searched and taken note of the EDGE settings for the iPhone 2G (1.1.4, Zibri unlock) but I can't find where to put the settings in. I have previously done it on another prepaid card (while in Malaysia) but now the EDGE panel seems to be gone.

I'm looking in Settings > General > Network and the only options there are
1. VPN (not configured)
2. Wi-Fi
3. Data Roaming

I thought there used to be a box titled "EDGE" but it's not there now.

Has O2 made it hard for us to use EDGE on jailbroken iPhones? The guy at the shop kept saying it wouldn't work but when I asked him specifically "Will it not work, or is it not officially supported by O2?" he replied "It's not supported." Although i'm still not sure what exactly that means.

Thanks for your help.

Fill in this form:

and if that doesnt work, do this:
(Needs to be jailbroken, also read up on how to SSH.)

1) Activate open SSH and connect to your iPhone
2) Go to /<root>/system/library/Carrier Bundles/O2_UK.bundle/
3) Upload and replace the modified file 'carrier.plist' to the directory.
4) Restart your iPhone.
5) The EDGE setting will then be available to modify.

Download the files from here:
