I will be purchsing an iPhone when it comes out here in the UK, I plan to unlock it and use it on Tmobile UK as I still have a few months remaining on the contract.

My question is what is the main difference between EDGE and GPRS? Also, will I have to pay more to Tmobile for using EDGE? At the moment, GPRS is £7.50 a months for ulimited, can I just use this allowance for my iPhone?

Yes, you can use it, it's your network that monitors how much you're downloading, not the phone.

In comparison; EDGE is slow, GPRS is slower.

I reckon I'll use the 200MB limit on O2, I don't reckon I could do it if it was GPRS.
